CONGREGATION OF THE CARMELITE SOCIETY OF THE PROPHET ELIJAH (CSPE) in Cabraran, Jovellar, Albay (Bicol)

Image of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel along side the image of the Virgin of Peñafrancia in the chapel room located at the 2nd floor of the convent.
The center of the altar, the Risen Christ and the Holy Tabernacle where the consecrated Host is kept.
Full view of the altar in the 2/F Prayer Room.
Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes designed with a bridge, located just in front of the main chapel at the ground floor. Guests may pass by this short bridge to and from the convent's kitchen.
Circular in shape, this is the main chapel at the ground floor.
Tile-design showing the Carmelite-inspired logo of the congregation.
Closer view of the altar in the main chapel.
Image of the Prophet Elijah can be seen on the left side facing the altar.
On the right side is the wooden image of Our Lady carrying Child Jesus on her arms. She holds a Rosary while being surrounded by angels.

Relaxing view right outside the back door where guests may enjoy the fresh air, green scenery and produce of fruit-bearing trees.
Right in front of the back-door is a life-size image of the Prophet Elijah especially made for the congregation of the Carmelite Society of the Prophet Elijah (CSPE) with an image of a (farmer-like) man beside to represent the poor. On the trunk of the tree is another image, a raven, that fed Elijah in the wilderness.

The back side of the convent where Coconut trees grow. This is also where I got some fresh "pato" eggs. This is also where the Guyabano leaves are sourced to make hot tea (in lieu of coffee).
Part of the garden is also used for the holy purpose of destroying "cursed and occultic" objects (burning and burying objects) in relation to the Deliverance ministry.
Back-door of the convent with the logo of the congregation.

Entrance gate of the convent with initials CSPE, the acronym for Carmelite Society of the Prophet Elijah. Always ready to open gate and welcome guests are the hospitable mother and daughter in the picture.
Flag-sign of the convent along the 6-meter width barangay road in Cabraran, Jovellar, Albay.
Our simple meal during the visit - red rice, steamed tilapia with ginger, cream of corn soup, chinese-made longanisa (macao), biscuits, suman made from red-colored "malagkit" rice and freshly-picked bananas.
Foods are best enjoyed on native plates covered with banana leaves.
Hot tea, made out of natural leaves (Guyabano) is available before and after meals.
All shares in the meal preparation. I enjoyed buying the Tilapia fish from Guinobatan market and personally supervised the cooking in the humble kitchen of the convent where they use "pugon" in cooking.
The sisters of the congregation (Sr.Marriane, Sr.Jackie and novice Sr.Beth), the four members of the family-caretaker, Sis.Terry of TOC Guinobatan and myself, all enjoyed this brief experience in the convent sharing pleasantries and the Lord's blessings.
